Our Policy:
It is the policy of our firm to help all people who are qualified and who enter a discovery process to receive due diligence information from us. To give out the names of references, uncompensated people who act out of kindness to talk to others is done when we know who we are giving the information to. In looking at the notes provided to me, I see where this person had been invited on more than one occasion to have a conversation with us about the business and they declined and instead insisted on taking up the valuable time of others without us having any knowledge of them and their background. This is pure sour grapes in our estimation and this person based on their behavior is not somebody we would want to partner with in our business model. We will not solicit or accept funds from a person that we feel is negative, cynical or contrary in nature and who we deem will be difficult to work with over the long term. This is a very happy company and we strive hard to keep it that way. I agree with our Vice President in telling this person that they would not be a good fit for us. Our policy as to when references are given out was followed to a tee and it is our policy we follow, not his. Obviously, there is a lot of anger in some folks and in this case we certainly didn’t cause it, we just got an undeserved lashing out from him. Further investigation on our part indicates that this person owns a business of their own currently. We wish them every success in that business and they should know that how they run their business is their decision. How we run ours is mine as the founder and president of our firm.
