...but it all worked out. I had a complicated situation because I was convicted under a birth name but sought a Pardon under a married name. My application was frequently derailed by investigators and authorities due to the resulting confusion. My application
had to submitted and resubmitted until, finally, everyone got on the same page and all proper documents were submitted to the Governor. The process took almost two years but, just before Christmas (as Ron predicted), I got the phone call: my Pardon was granted.
A couple weeks later the formal (oversized and audacious) documents arrived. It's been 25 years since my conviction, and now it's gone. Ron put in a lot of time, and I'm grateful for that.
