I want to say thank to Platinum Legal for getting my loan modified. Specially to Derek Robertson for listing to my issues and stepping to resolve them. This is a nasty business and if you have tried on your own you know Loan Modification is no picnic. I tried for 6 months on my own before getting professional help. It took a good 5 months after signing on with Platinum but it was worth it. In the beginning the lenders were just not ready for the on slot of applicants. The lender (Wachovia) after 3 months, offered me a modification that really would have left me right back where I started. With no principle reduction. So with platinum's support we rejected it and waited and then re applied, that is when Derek stepped in and within a week I had a real modification. My balanced was reduced by 41,000 and a reduced interest for first 5 years ,then fixed rate for the remainder of the loan at 6.5%. All my late fees and back payments were forgiven. I am no longer upside down on the property. If Platinum had just been after my money they would of left me stuck with the first offer but they new it was not a good deal and they continued to work for me. I would say they earned their money! Thank you to all the staff that helped, you know who you are!
