Review 6/8/2010

I ordered a 2.10 carat diamond engagement ring. When it came in, it was beautiful. However, upon inspection, it had some visible inclusions that could clearly be seen. I was supposed to receive an SI grade diamond, which according to World Jewel's website, inclusions should not be seen with the naked eye when mounted in jewelry. I took the ring to an independent jeweler and was told that I received an I clarity grade diamond. The certificate sent with the ring rated it as an SI3, which is not even a recognized grade by the GIA. They use EGL to certify their diamonds. When I called and asked about this, I was told that if I wanted a better quality diamond in which inclusions can't be seen with the naked eye, I would have to pay for it. That is what I paid for to begin with. BE VERY CAUTIOUS WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!
Upon posting this review, Mr. Rashtian, the company's president emailed me and threatened "legal action" because I posted this complaint.
